Cannot start new game

The application loads, and seems to work fine, except for the following..
I select new game.
I select (any) map.. and nothing...
The UI is responsive and as I hover over each map, it responds... But I cannot figure out how to start that map.
Is it supposed to launch when I click on a map? (it doesnt) is there supposed to be a "launch game" button? (there isnt)
I have completely uninstalled the game and re-installed it. Same issue.

At the base of each maps, you’ll find a black banner that should react when you place your mouse over it. Click on it.



Afterwards, only need to select your game mode and click «Play».

That is exactly the issue... Nothing happens when I click on the black banner.
Well, the mouse pointer turns white while the button is down, but that is it.

I have completely deleted the the game and it's folder and re-installed.
