Corruptron Spawns and pathfinding on Big Island

I played a game and found that Corruptrons sometimes spawned inside of the ground and had to spend a great deal of time breaking their surroundings to get out. They would also jump down half the side of some cliffs and proceed to break their way back up to the crystal. Additionally, I could hear the sound effect for breaking where the Corruptrons were attacking the ground, even when I could not see them.
