Shards and custom maps

So I made a custom map using the map editor and places some shards.
Im playing the Invasion mode but when I go to the place where I put the shards, they are not there.
Can anyone help me?

    There are no shards in Invasion. Only one crystal the Corruptrons attack.

    Shards are only used in the Conquest gamemode.
