Multiplayer Error

I am trying to play with my Dad, and when I invite him to a game, it says that Multiplayer Error, cannot connect. Whenever he tries to invite me, after clicking on the invite nothing happens. We are in the same house on the same network. I can play multiplayer with a friend of mine that does not live by me, I do not know if that matters. I have saved my game log and attatched it, however I cannot find the unity log in the directory to which I was told to look to find it.
