Corrupted Savegame

I backed Castle Story back when it was a Kickstarter - had a great time playing it when it first came out but haven't played it in years. Finally dusted it off this weekend and had so much fun with all the improvements.
The map Big Island is what I've been playing and it worked great for several hours of gameplay. However, today, when I load up the save file, it freezes after saying 100% loading and "entering the world".
I have a current gen computer (16gb ram, 980 TI graphics card) so I figure that's not the issue.
I've attached the savefile.
Any help would be great!
