Catapulting bricktrons

Could we catapult bricktrons, for instance to get on a foreign island ?
And could we catapult knights or archers as well?
Of course, they will lose some HP, so it won't be the best trick ever for going over fortifications.

  • In the same idea, it would be very convenient to be able to catapult a stockpile. :)
Because sometimes you have too many bricks in your main base and too few on the front line.

It would be a trebuchet with a stockpile. You could order the engineer bricktron to fill the stockpile with one specific elements, and so he would get these in the closest regular stockpiles. Then you would be able to throw it.
For the animation, it could be put in a net.

    Hey!

Definitely an idea we've heard a few times. We prototyped a version of this internally but there are lots of challenges to make it work right.

Check out this video starting 1:35.
  • Nice !
I knew I have seen a flying bricktron somewhere, but couldn't remember where. :)
Do you consider it for knights and / or stockpiles?

I don't think there were any plans for the stockpiles. If we allow it for Bricktrons we'd probably allow it for Knights too. Regardless, it was just a prototype. :) We need to rework the catapult as a whole before we start adding features to it.
  • For your reworking, I have yet another suggestion. :)
    Create a "barrel-stockpile".
While selecting the catapult, you can link it to one or several such "barrel-stockpiles" (like what you did for blueprints and stockpiles). Then the bricktron engineer would be able to recharge automatically the catapult by getting barrel in this "barrel-stockpile".

And you would have a task "refill the barrel-stockpiles". Any bricktrons added to this task will make new barrel on the stockpiles selected until they are full.

Of course, these stockpiles would have to be well protected by the player to avoid big badaboom. >:)
