Multiplayer issues & enhancement proposal

Hi there,
my son and I play CS mainly via a broadband connection at different places. I've steered us around port forwarding issues, and we manage to connect reliably.
Disconnect issue, no possibility to join back in
Still, from time to time, one of us gets kicked out of the game and can't reconnect. The game seems to keep the original number of players (makes sense) but doesn't seem to "release" disconnected players so they can join back in. So what the remaining player needs to do is to save the game and open the host anew with the savegame. That is quite a nuisance, especially because the disconnect happens pretty often. Oh, and it isn't necessarily connected to latency problems – we have the same issues when we play next to each other in the same LAN.
I liked the way such matters were solved in the good old Civ4, which would recognize the disconnect and pop up a modal window, asking the remaining players for a vote what to do: wait, save and play on, save and quit, or just quit. (So that's my enhancement proposal)
Welcome screen without menu
Sometimes, in single player mode as well as in multiplayer mode, the screen suddenly goes back to the welcome screen, but shows no menu and thus leaves no option to get back to the (presumably still running) game. I tried all keys and key combination, as well as clicking all mouse buttons – to no avail. The only solution is to kill the application (losing the game progress, of course) and to start anew.
Recent IP(s)
Another proposal would be to keep the IP that was provided the last time (or even a list of recent IPs) – that would make frequent games with the same player(s) much easier.
Best regards

Thank you for these! Very appreciated.
When it comes to the disconnect issue, the "temporary" fix is for the host to save the game and then load a new multiplayer game with that saved multiplayer game then all parties rejoin and set their color/team as it was.
However we're aware multiplayer needs some work, it's still a new feature and we're actively working on improving it.
Thank you again.
