Castle Story stopped responding (crashed) after a few minutes of multiplayer

Hi there!
My friend showed me this game quite awhile ago, and with the new updates I decided to purchase the game as well.
We've been having fun solo, and we decided to try multiplayer.
I use windows 7 Ultimate, my friend uses windows 8.1
We both use a wired connection to the same Bell Router/modem, and play the game over LAN.
The Ping showed as 0-4ms through-out our few tests, below I'll explain our experience so far.
With my friend hosting, the game-play was very slow, and our bricktons took many coffee breaks, taking roughly 3x the normal amount of time to complete any task, after about 15 minutes the game froze and became unresponsive with the typical windows error over the dull white screen. (later on my friend realised he had Dark Souls 3 on in the background, so that was probably the issue there.)
We tried again after closing background processes and it was a little bit smoother, but eventually my little bricktons just became slower and slower until they started walking in place for about 5 minutes, before I quit the game via in-game menu's. My friends bricktons were apparently moving slower then usual, however his game never paused like mine did.
Our third attempt I chose to host to see if it made any difference. The bricktons were very responsive, just like in single player, and it seemed to go pretty smooth on my friends side as well, however after about 8-10 minutes both of our games crashed again with the familiar dull-white windows error, "Castle Story.exe has stopped responding."
As far as I know my processor is quite a bit faster then my friends, however his graphics card is a bit better then mine. This may explain the lag caused on the first two attempts if most of the thinking is done through the processor of our machines.
I saw a sticky before making this thread about complete re-install of the game to avoid possible issues.
I know my friend has had a copy of castle story on his computer for quite awhile, so this may be the issue, and we plan to do a fresh re-install of castle story for both our computer's before attempting another multiplayer session, however I was wondering if there is any insight that could be given to help our crashing issues?
Some additional information in case it's helpful.
The game-mode used for multiplayer was.. I can't recall.., it's where you need to capture the crystals. Sorry for not being clear.
We used a custom map created by my friend in the map editor.
It was roughly 10 by 10 map editor tiles, large.
I assume this is a fairly small map size, as you could probably walk a brickton from 1 side to the other in about 30-45 seconds.
Any help we can provide to staff or other community members, we'll try our best to provide.
Thanks in advance!

First of all, really sorry you've had a rough time with multiplayer. It's our biggest new feature yet and we're still working on polishing it as much as possible. Hiccups are likely!
In this case, I strongly suggest a fresh reinstall on both machines. It shouldn't take very long since the game is only roughly 800MB.
Try that and let me know how it goes. Here's a link to the article;https://sauropodstudio.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218389798-How-to-do-a-fresh-reinstall-of-Castle-Story-Crashes-Crash-
Thank you!
Thanks for the advice, and the handy link!
I'm unsure if the newest patch that just came out helped our crashing issues or if the fresh install of the game for both of us fixed the issue, but we no longer crash while playing. Woohoo!
Let me be the 10000th to say your game is amazing.
I know bug reports can be depressing to look at, but hopefully my insight may help locate and squash a bug/problem.
After doing a fresh install on both computers, my friend creates a custom map, then he starts the host of the game, so my client downloads the map, then we exit to main menu. (we are inexperienced and decided we wanted flat levels with easy to reach resources )
At this point I host the game with the custom map that was downloaded, because my friends computer is simply not strong enough to host without lag issues.
This works perfectly everytime. Almost lagless game-play until 6-7 hours in and we both have 25 units each doing various activities; workers all building, having mini wars with archers and knights and catapults.
However, if we close the session, then attempt to re-create the exact same session (whether we close the game, restart computer / let computer sit in off so all parts inside are cooled down, whether the previous session was 7 hours or 3 minutes) the entire game will stutter every 1-2 seconds.
Note: Whether we attempt to create the same session or if we attempt to create a different session with a different map, we experience the same issue.
As of now, we have simply continued to do fresh installs after trying some different simple troubleshooting steps we could think of, and we can have 1 perfect game each time. An annoying work-around, but what can you do.
The above does not affect single player at all though.
Single player runs perfectly all the time.
Well hopefully that helps someone, somewhere, somehow.
Of course if you need anything from us to further help, whether it be testing or you require certain files uploaded, I'm here to help.
Small side note:
Hopefully I can find time to join in on these community challenges, they look very interesting!
It's too bad I missed out on the statue event.
It didn't look very popular as far as submissions go though.
That's a shame.
Thanks for all your time reading my support ticket!

First of all, I'm glad we've got this figured out and thank you for the kind words, it's very appreciated and motivating.
I'm going to forward your detailed bug report to our QA! Thank you so much for that.
