Hey @DrWhoCares - can you elaborate on "the significance placed on a loss of a soldier"? I'll try to make it clearer, if I fail to do so, let me know. I wrote out my entire thought process, but please just read the "TL;DR" for a concise reason, and …

I think this is actually already possible in any mode. In the presets, there is a command, I don't know it's actual function but it reads: "canDigGround": true You could attempt to change that to false.

It would be helpful to know the issue you are having. Do they get the message "Wrong Host"? Are they being booted back to the main menu with no error message? Are they unable to join your game through Steam? Are you unable to invite them through St…

Archers have the exact same issue. The aiming/hitbox on arrows is much too precise to be incredibly useful. This causes a lot of situations where two archers next to each other cannot hit the same target, only one of them can hit the one directly be…

In 1.0, they have been working on a method to make Corruptrons attack and destroy buildings, rather than digging. This may help in this situation. The key thing to realize here however is that the Corruptrons' AI likely lacks any sort of knowledge …

This is an issue I forgot to post about as well. If you create a landscape task, they will attempt to remove that top layer of dirt from under the crystal, but cannot, due to those blocks being indestructible. This causes them to be stuck attempting…

I would not know, but this may have something to do with how islands stay afloat. I believe there are blocks that cannot be destroyed (as they are essentially the "bedrock" layer). I remember seeing something in the preset files about whether or not…

I believe there is a bug with the P button not working. I'm not certain, as I haven't messed with keyboard shortcuts, but you could check the settings to see if there is a setting for the pause button. Perhaps it is not on P. Shatojon experienced an…

I completely agree that Halberdiers serve little to no purpose. Due to the significance placed on a loss of a soldier, creating 6 halberdiers compared to creating 3 knights is often just not needed. Those extra 3 Bricktrons could be assigned to Arc…

@polishsowa You should make your own thread next time, but here's my thoughts. 1. I believe this was taken out for balance reasons, and the addition of capturable crystals. 2. You should try building one, then making a save around it and uploading i…

1. This is already in 1.0. 2. Knights already have shields. There will be a new unit called the Halberdier that is cheaper to make, but less tanky. 3. This is already in 1.0. 4. The new units in 1.0 can be swapped from attacking to healing. 5. There…

I wanted to follow up on this one, as it's currently the greatest issue I can see with Castle Story, because this makes a simple construction, or mining task, or whatever, take 10x as long. I can confirm the issue with this is a mixture between the…

@EvaxMeor Is there a fix for the host not done loading the game? The running in place bug happens to us very often, while playing the game. We will play for anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours or so before it happens, we save, and reload. Sometimes…

This happens on both sides. In fact, I had it happen recently during a Sandbox game (also on Kairos), on both my side's (Spawn Crystal 1) iron deposit (it left two chunks), and my client's brimstone (Spawn Crystal 2). As far as I know, this happens…

So wait, you don't own the game but you're playing it? Then you want them to give you a free copy, so you don't have to buy it? You should really just buy the game if you like it, Sauropod Studios is a small indie studio, they need your support by …

This has been present since probably before 0.9, but I have had it with my friend since we started playing again at 0.9.1

Yep, this is a very annoying issue.

Graphics means next to nothing. You could program a game that doesn't even use the GPU if you wanted. For instance, take Dwarf Fortress, a game similar to this. It has no graphics, but will still destroy your computer when you get far into it. Both…

Hey EvilToaster, What are your PC specs? It has nothing to do with my PC specs. If I play offline/singleplayer, everything is normal. No lag, and my screen does not freeze. You can't know that for certain. Asking for your PC specs is not asking if …

It's starting to get infuriatingly bad, the issues with the AI. There are a ton of issues, and many of them have already been reported, but they need to be fixed either in 1.0, or soon in a hotfix. It's getting to the point where I don't even want …
-
It's very possible that the issue stems from lots of Bricktrons and Corruptrons. The issue is, it must be a memory leak, as there is no cleanup of memory. Used memory never goes down.
-
Iron will be heavily used in the new 1.0 update.
-
I can't say anything for sure, I'm not a dev, but those do seem like some really old specs, and very very possible that they just cannot handle this game.
-
So wait, are you running it through steam, and it's not working when you click play through steam? I'm a bit confused on what your workaround is doing. (I don't use Macs)
-
What's your computer specs? The lack of maps offered sounds similar to another issue where only Quasar is shown. The solution was that the PC was too weak to handle Castle Story and was unsupported. Additionally, have you tried a fresh reinstall? I'…

Were you playing on an outdated version? I was playing on v0.9.1 and when v0.9.2 came out my saves still worked.

I would think it's Conquest, as that's where I experience the same issues.
-
I think the sentinel is fine how it is.

Xray is pretty useless due to the fact that it only shows a single layer. A better Xray would show everything cut down to that layer. This is more difficult to code, and so not a major addition needed, but it would allow you to lower the xray to the…

I've noticed this with my friend very often. It seems to be related to the fact that the bricktrons cannot path through each other. Standing bricktons, workers, archers or knights, are all solid objects, the same as a brick wall. So there may be a …
