Can you elaborate a little more on what's going on? What do you mean by "GPU Crash"? What exactly are you seeing on screen and what triggers it?
It does indeed seem to be a GPU failure. Have you recently updated your graphic card drivers and/or attempted a fresh reinstall of them?
I have another laptop on which castle story runs normally. (gtx 850m)
I don't understand the difference.
You're launching Castle Story from Steam, the launcher appears, you click the big white play button. The game launches and you land in the main menu, from where you select singleplayer/multiplayer, select a map and a gamemode, and click play.
The black loading screen with a yellow loading bar appears and goes all the way to 100%, then your computer displays a blue screen of death?
Is that correct?
Could you try launching the game in a smaller resolution (something like 1280 x 720) and lower all the graphic settings as low as possible in the options, before selecting a map and gamemode?
Does that help any?
At this point, I would recommend a fresh reinstall of your graphics cards drivers.
Also - is the inside of your system very dusty? Is there any dust caked on your graphic card, notably its fans?
Have you tried a fresh reinstall of your GPU?
I only have a problem with Castle story.
All other games are working fine. Only your game does not start. And only on this laptop. My old laptop and my friend's PC are running it. I think it's about incompatibility.
I'm going to have to need help from developers to try and troubleshoot this issue. Please open a support ticket on http://support.castlestory.net including a link to this thread. I'll get back to you ASAP.
