Do i need to re-buy the game for each update?

I bought the game while it was non-Steam, 0.5/0.6 version as I recall. However I lost the files due to PC formatting.
Now I don't have the access to the game, as well as unsure how to update the game without the previous files.

As much as I know its being sold on Steam only now, does that mean I have to re-buy the game? Or is there a log that saved my game somehow..? Cheers.

    May I ask since when is this game steam version only?
    I bought this game because it was available as drm free version on Humble Bundle.
    Is there any offical news about it?

    You can still download it DRM free on Humble Bundle. :)

    Hypsandar; putting the wrong e-mail maybe? You should use the one you used for Kickstarter.
