Add public servers for online play!

Trust me when I say there are A LOT of people who want to play online conquest/co-op but can't because they don't have any friends who own the game. I think that adding a feature that lets us play with strangers online would be awesome, and that everybody would love it. I really hope you guys consider this, because if you don't add this, people like me will never be able to use the awesome online function and have fun like you guys in your streams.

    Does the dev team even have the resources right now to put up public servers for us? Maybe they should add a "private" server browser first, then if they have resources host servers for us.

    If it lets us play with people we're not friends with, then that's fine by me. As long as it works, I just want to be able to sit down, open up Castle Story, and play multiplayer.

    That's really funny that you are talking of this but... The best place to find some new friends to play with is... On the Discord !

    For example, just tonight, at 7:45 pm, somebody asked if anyone wanna play with him and... we were three to join him only 15 minutes later. :smiley:

    Hi!

    It's possible to play with anyone, right now, so long as you have their IP address, or you see their Steam Profile and they're currently playing (You can click "Join Now").

    We do have plans to add a public server list, however.

    There are often people willing to hop in a game if offered; check the unofficial Discord or steam group;

    I think the best thing to do is to add a lobby where you can see public servers like Factorio or Open TTD. Then you could launch a server and choose to have it private for friends on steam or for the ones who have your ip.
