Connecting Steam Account to Castle Story Account

As the title implies, I am wondering as to how to connect the two accounts. Additionally, if we have bought and downloaded this game some years back, how does one obtain the newest or most recently updated version of the game?

    Just to let you know, I moved your question here so it could be in the right section of the forum.

    To answer your question simply, you can't. Your Steam account and the one you have on CastleStory.net are two different things. The first is for connecting to Steam and buy games and the second, the one you're using here, is for participating to the discussions.

    To get your copy of Castle Story, you need to enter the email address you used back in the day, during the Kickstarter campaign, in the Humble Bundle key resender: https://www.humblebundle.com/resender

    After that, choose the version of the game you want to download. I suggest that you get the Steam one. With it, you will receive updates as they are made available without having to download the whole game each time.

    If you already have the Steam version, the newest version of Castle Story should download itself automatically the next time you log back into Steam.
