Weather/seasons in the Game

A idea I have for the game, weather. Like snow, rain, etc. Also, seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. Weather, I think, would make the game look alive. Even though the islands are in the sky, weather would make the game look more alive. Seasons is not a questions, the leaves in fall, and the new leaves in spring, I think that would be could. Overall I would love seeing weather and seasons in Castle Story.

    There is a small but.... we have just firs - they have no leaves :(
    OK, so we need also some trees with leaves!

    A question though, would the weather you're proposing actually have some form of functionality? One of my favorite 4xRTS Empire Earth 2 (RIP Mad Doc Sftwr.) has seasons and weather, with weather giving massive debuffs to units. For example, conducting a bombing run during a snow storm means your airplanes have half of their fuel capped off. Or say you're in the middle of a naval battle, well rough tropical rainstorms would completely wreck your speed and health stats.
