While playing Invasion you are forced to create things that you would otherwise not make if you had a chance to build up some defences before being attacked. With this in mind I'd like to suggest adding an option for a "treaty" length with the Invasion game mode. Obviously the name could be modified as pleased.
Treaty Mechanics Description
-Gives the player immunity to attack or to attack others for the length of the treaty
-Allow the player to set a treaty length separate to difficulty
-Treaty lengths can be 20, 40 or 60 mins in length (subject to balancing or preference of devs)
-Disabled on the hardest difficulty most likely
-Gives new players a chance to learn the building mechanics & have enemies attack at a later time
-Gives extra depth to each of the difficulty settings without changing the game play much
-Could be balanced appropriately for PvP game mode too for newer players (AoE2)
Easy - Treaty Lengths; 20, 40 or 60 mins
Normal - Treaty Lengths; 20 or 40 mins
Hard - Treaty Lengths; 20 mins
Total Bricstruction - Treaty Lengths; none
Otherwise if there was a way in sandbox to enable corruption waves to test our buildings against that would work too!
