Updating the game

Hey there guys.

Just wondering if I missed something on how to update the game? I am a kickstarter backer who hasn't played in a few months. I am on Mac OS X 10.10.5. The version I have on my computer is 0.3.6.5cb2. Isn't steam supposed to update the game automatically or something (and wasn't it the whole point of going with steam in the first place)? Or are kickstarter backers not getting updates anymore or something? Maybe more recent versions don't support macs anymore? What's up with that, is there any way I could update my copy of the game to the most recent version?

    Hey there,

    You can always try to "verify the integrity of game cache" on Steam, it will force to update the game. Here's a link on how to do it: http://support.castlestory.net/kb/articles/9-verify-integrity-of-game-cache .

    Make sure that you are on the Default BETA branch on Steam. Here's a link on how to change your Beta branch: http://support.castlestory.net/kb/articles/10-how-to-change-your-betas-branch .

    Or you can always delete your Local files of Castle Story manually and reinstall it with Steam and it should do the trick.

    Thanks a ton, I'm back to speed with version 0.6.3! That first link did it! I still don't really understand why steam didn't do it automatically but oh well, next time I'll know how to get around it. Sorry I wasn't thorough enough when looking for a solution, hope my thread wasn't too much of a bother.
