CHANGELOG
-Added a "back route" to valley crystal
-Added a Mountain pass, also to valley crystal
---(Both of the previous were done because A: Invasion was previously too easy, and B: the valley crystal was OP in
conquest. Not only that, but you could essentially cut off any alternate routes to your crystal.)
-Added more side islands, because why not.
-Improved look of certain paths.
A Decent-sized island with several mountains, trees, and troublesome baddies! A few surrounding islands to possibly explore, or just look at. This map is based around a scene in a previous castle story artwork of mine, (see here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=711250338) well actually, I wanted to make this map for a while. It was already in my head when I drew the art, so really, the art took inspiration from the map that did not yet exist... anyway, enough self-plugging... have some screenshots!
So I've recently been informed that having only one route to a crystal on an invasion map is a BAD IDEA. And not only that, but that "single route" thing caused problems in the conquest gamemode, too. It made the valley crystal far too easy to defend, and you could basically split the island in half if you put a wall in the right place. This update is here to correct those mistakes.
However, I still have not gotten any direct feedback on this map. So, if you have the time to play this map and send me some notes on what could maybe be improved... PLEASE DO. (Also, if you have any means of recording your playsession, do that. Live feedback is best feedback, and it's possible that you may not even have to type a response.)
