Granite Stone

Anyway! Granite Is bedrock you'll find it is one of the more harder stones in the game and rivals metal blocks in strength and time it takes to extract.

Granite is pretty common depending on world generation either being bedrock or exposed on hills and in mountains.

  • it would be a nice Idea but that is something I woudn't like. first how would they generate? as one like the ores or like big spots of granite. I woudnt like the Ide having some bright stone between dark ones. why couldnt there be something like refined stone just add in some Iron and its done. Same like you're granite Idea

Programming generation is pretty simple. You've just gotta add it to the generation and then give it a bunch of outlines on how it generates.

I really do recommend that you read up on procedural generation.

That's a bit silly having to craft granite as it forms naturally and is bedrock in the real world.

As for coloration they are near identical in the real world and the only way the player could identity them if they did have a colour that was either darker or lighter than stone.

I'd go with lighter shade to be honest with its own texture similar to this.

As you can see in its unpolished state, its very static looking but bright.
  • I just dont want it to look like this:

I dont like it when its so 'colorful' I mean its Stone and stone is Grey with a bit of color but not this much.

I can't really speak for the developers but at the end of the day, It's their choice what colour they will make it.

If you make it generic stone colour then the player hasn't got a clue what they are mining and why it's different to other stone and then you get topics like "why is this stone different?!"
