1 Samurai, Many Slices

Samurai - To start things off, These guys are focused on fighting alone with no mercy. In this case, samurai are tanky, but are slow in all ways. The samurai kit is made with 12 iron ingots, 1 plank of wood, and 2 rope. (2 iron ingots for the helmet, 4 iron ingots and a plank of wood for the sword, and 6 iron ingots and 2 rope for the chestplate.) It costs many resources to make this kit, but it's worth it if you need to take on constant waves of corruptrons. (These guys are made for the Invasion gamemode. But it can be used in both Conquest and Invasion.) This unit has high damage, long range, very high health, but very low base speed and low attack speed. You might think that this is so slow that a ranged threat could take a samurai down, but they have lots of health, making it so it takes many hit to take one down. But there is something special that separates all other units from this type of fighter. It has AoE attacks. in a couple slices you'll see not one, but many lethal menaces dead. A simple strategy is to send in a samurai, while ranged units shoot. These guys are also good at defending. This is kind of the bricktron version of a Biftron, but faster attack speed (Barely faster.) but lower attack.

    If you can afford it, why not add a bunch? I would just spam samurais from different sides to get multiple AoE attacks.

    Good concept, but more damage and attack speed than a Biftron? That's just OP, and remember that you added AoE attacks too. It's also not as expensive as you say it is.

    Yup, so expensive, am I right? I could make a bunch of these and spam the Corruptrons with it.

    Overall, it's a good troop, but let's have it be not stronger than a Biftron with AoE attacks added on to it.

  • Please do not make samurais more powerful than Knights.
  • Honestly I don't like this idea for two reasons, one important, the other one not so much: First one because it ruins Castle Story's infantry and tower defense dynamics. Meaning what's stopping players from using the Samurai as a late-game unit they spam to win? As is we already have the Halberdier be a useless gimmick unit , do we need to turn the Knights into a mid-game only unit? The second reason is because it ruins the game's medieval European fantasy aesthetic. Granted this aesthetic can change any time soon, but I would like it to remain as is.

    If Samurai were to be added however I'd like for them to be armed with Naginatas or Yari at the least. I'm pretty tired of the meme weapon Katana rearing it's ugly head when it was just a saber used in ceremonies and to cut down peasants.
